A distinguished neurologist with over 15 years of clinical and academic experience, Dr. Raghavendra B S is the first neurologist in Mangalore to establish a DM Neurology programme. He was Principal Investigator from Mangalore for the landmark THALES stroke trial — published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2020 — a global study conducted across 414 sites in 28 countries.
Internationally recognised for identifying rare neurological signs — the Hot Cross Bun Sign, Panda Cub Sign, Wrist Clonus and Jaw Clonus — now cited globally by neurologists. He has delivered invited talks at international conferences in Frankfurt, Zurich, London and Bangkok.
Principal Investigator from Mangalore for this landmark 28-country, 414-site international study. Demonstrated that ticagrelor-aspirin combination reduces the 30-day risk of stroke or death compared to aspirin alone.
